Awakened SOUL: “A New Year Revival Retreat” with David Westlake
Anchorage Yoga & Cycle
Escape to one of Mexico’s best kept secrets, Troncones, where the beaches are remote, pure and tranquil. The quiet streets, romantic sea side cafes, and the sound of the surf will surely rejuvenate the Soul.
Join David Westlake & Joshua Love on a week long journey to the remarkable Present Moment Retreat Center. Enjoy 7 days and 7 nights on a life affirming and soulful journey in the humbling town of Troncones, Mexico. The beaches; remote, pure and tranquil. The quiet streets and the sound of the surf will heal your body and rejuvenate your Soul. Our intention for this experience is to dive deeper into our practice with a powerful alchemy of Asana, Kriya, Pranayama, Meditation, and did we say surfing?!
From the oceanview bungalows of Present Moment you will step out the door to start your day with a yoga practice in the open air palapa followed by a gourmet breakfast to get ready for the day’s adventure. It is here, under the bright Mexican sky, that you begin to drop into the now and R E J U V E N A T E.
Picture this… Yoga in the morning followed by playing in the waves; in the afternoons take a break to rest by the pool, or participate in a sea turtle release on the beach; and spend your evenings with a soulful vinyasa flow, fireside Dharma talks, and mellow company under the stars. For those who don’t feel like surfing and just want some yoga and beach time, that’s cool too! This trip is about having the freedom and the flexibility to do what you want to do from a place of Now. Let us help make that a reality for you!

“I was always curious about what it meant to live an authentic life. This inner wonder took me on many adventures eventually leading me to yoga. This ancient yet evolving art form gave me a framework in which to practice and further explore my questions. Yoga teacher training seemed like the next step. Little did I know how my life would change. Since then, yoga has rocked my world and taken me on an amazing path of self discovery and personal satisfaction. I get to teach and share meaningful ideas with so many whether it be in meditation, asana or discussion. What a gift! They say that we are only as capable as the teachers who have nurtured us along the way. I am blessed in that realm. Deep gratitude for my guides both on and off the mat especially Katey Inman for helping me as I stumble along the way, Dharma Mittra for challenging me to step further into the stream, Natalie Kellier for the inward push to go a little deeper, and most of all my father who constantly encourages me to follow the way wherever it may lead. I can’t say I have any answers but would love to share my questions with you whether that be in meditation, through the sweat of asana or in the round of discourse. See you on the mat my dear friends. Om shanti shanti shanti…”

“It’s the ultimate paradox that I find myself both a student and teacher of a practice based on silencing the mind! I came to yoga with, at first, much resistance. My love/hate relationship with the practice of yoga dissolved into pure passion after my first hot yoga class. My “hot’ yoga teachers focused less on perfect alignment and placed the emphasis on effort, focus, and determination. I was hooked! My classes celebrate opposites: movement and stillness, music and quiet, effort and surrender—while always remembering to embrace our inner voice! Much love to all my “big” teachers (Rick Resnick, Jimmy Barkan, and Katherine Inman) and “small” teachers (to many to name). Namah Shivaya!”
