Front Desk Agent Position Overview

The role of the Front Desk Agent includes, but is not limited to, assisting in all Front Office operations of the hotel, such as greeting clients as they arrive, assisting in coordinating their check-ins to assigned rooms and informing them about the hotel’s facilities, accommodating guests’ requests, and signing students into yoga classes using MindBody software.

Ultimately, you will be an integral part of the Guest Relations team and will work to uphold the hotel’s image by answering guests’ requests and making sure our visitors are completely satisfied.

The Front Desk Agent reports to the Guest Relations Manager, Operations Manager, and Reservations Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating all arrivals and departures of guests
  • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including reservations and financial transactions
  • Greet clients upon their arrival and give a tour of the hotel
  • Assist with coordinating luggage delivery
  • Inform clients of our hotel services, including breakfast and dining options
  • Promote all amenities, conveniences and programs offered
  • Assist in any extra projects/works needed by management
  • Respond to any questions, needs, and desires of guests, and follow up with guests to ensure their requests have been met to their satisfaction
  • Anticipate the unstated needs and desires of the guests

The responsibilities of the food and beverage manager include managing food and beverage operations and standards, adhering to budgets, hiring and training food and beverage staff, and handling customer complaints.

To be a successful food and beverage manager, you should have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, as well as experience with designing menus. Ultimately, a top-notch food and beverage manager should be skilled at ordering just the right amount of inventory to last until the next delivery.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing delicious and attractive menus and continuously making improvements.
  • Forecasting, planning, sourcing, and ordering food supplies for the kitchen, as well as beverages to stock the bar and fridges.
  • Building positive relationships with food and beverage vendors.
  • Adhering to the food and beverage budget.
  • Managing daily food and beverage operations.
  • Following food and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining positive customer relationships, processing complaints, and responding to customer needs.
